Ms. Cherilynn Tremarco
Biography
Ms. Tremarco was born in Long Beach Naval Hospital in California and grew up on bases all across the United States. Upon completion of her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications from Norwich University, Ms. Tremarco was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy. After four years, she transitioned from a life in the Navy to becoming a road patrol officer with the Key West Police Dept. After three and a half years with the department, she transitioned into education to have a greater impact on children’s lives.
Ms. Tremarco started her teaching career in Lake County, FL. During her 13 years with the county, she taught first, second, third, sixth, seventh and eighth grades. She also served multiple schools in coaching roles to include curriculum and acceleration resource as well as math/science coach. During this time, she earned a dual master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Curriculum/Instruction from American College of Education.
In 2016, she accepted her first administration position as Assistant Principal at Clermont Middle School. After three productive years, Ms. Tremarco moved north to Alaska working as an AP and then a K-12 principal for North Slope Borough School District in the Arctic Circle. In 2022, she accepted a new principal position at Eagle’s View Elementary School in Unalaska near the end of the Aleutian Chain, serving not only as the principal but as the District Special Education Director, English Language Learner Director and District Test Coordinator. This will be her second year in DODEA transferring to Camp Humphreys MS from Edgren MHS in Pac East as their assistant principal.
Ms. Tremarco has one daughter, Madison, who resides in FL.
Ms. Tremarco is excited to be joining the Camp Humphreys MS team for the 25-26 school year.
