Humphreys Middle School STEM Night Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
On Monday, October 28, Humphreys Middle School hosted an exciting STEM Night event, which also celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month. The evening was filled with a variety of engaging activities and displays that highlighted the creativity and hard work of our students.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore an array of impressive projects from our science classes, where students demonstrated their understanding of various scientific principles through hands-on experiments and innovative models. The art classes contributed vibrant and culturally rich artworks that reflected the themes of Hispanic Heritage Month, adding a colorful and educational dimension to the event.
Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes showcased a series of informative and inspiring pictures, illustrating the diverse skills and knowledge our students are acquiring. Additionally, the Family Consumer classes delighted attendees with a selection of homemade cookies and dips, providing a delicious treat that perfectly complemented the evening’s festivities.
The school library also participated by displaying a curated selection of books about STEM careers. These books provided valuable insights and inspiration for students interested in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Overall, the STEM Night was a fantastic success, bringing together students, teachers, and families to celebrate both the wonders of science and the rich cultural heritage of our Hispanic community. We look forward to continuing this tradition and fostering a love for learning and cultural appreciation in our school
